SHAHDADPUR- A youth raped a 12-year-old mentally retarded girl today.

A young boy took away the girl, in a house at Noorabad colony in the town and raped her. On hue and cry by the girl, neighboring area people came out, captured the youth, beat up him, and handed over him to police. The girl was sent to Taluka Hospital Shahdadpur for medical checkup, where doctors confirmed her rape case. The police have registered the case and started further investigation.
