Amir to train Pak boxers himself

LAHORE - Pakistani-born British boxer Amir Khan has said that he will train Pakistan boxing himself.
Talking to the reporters here at the Lahore Press Club (LPC), Amir said: “If all sportsmen in Pakistan are provided with appropriate facilities, they can be fine sportsmen. There is only lack of facilities in Pakistan while the boxing talent is already there.”
Amir said that youngsters in Pakistan possessed natural talents which had to be polished adding that Pakistan had produced great names in world of sports. “I am eager to help Pakistani boxers win laurels at international level.” He said that he was very pleased to come to Lahore Press Club. “I am proud to be a Pakistani and very happy to be here. Lahorites are very lovely, lively and famous for their hospitality. I got a lot of love from Pakistan fans and I am happy to receive such support from the nation.”
To a query regarding training Pakistani boxers in England, Amir replied: “Yes, I am ready to train Pakistani boxers in England if they want to visit my Amir Khan Academy there.”
Amir’s father also pointed out an issue and said that there were two parties handling boxing affairs and if they could work out a solution, they were ready to accept boxers in their academy in England.
