The District Health Department held a seminar in connection with anti-dengue awareness campaign of the Punjab government at the Saddique Kanjoo Hall the other day.
On the occasion, Additional District Collector Syed Usman Ali was the chief guest while EDO Health Dr Abdul Aziz presided over the event. The ADC gave an overview of dengue control and awareness measures required to combat the disease.
A detailed lecturer was delivered by EDO Health Dr Abdul Aziz covering all aspects regarding spread, prevention and control of dengue fever.
DO Health Dr Altaf Ahmad Khan, TMO Chaudhry Muhammad Shafiq, Entomologist and others also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, a rally was taken out to create awareness about fighting the dengue virus.
The rally was led by ADC Usman Ali ad EDO Health Dr Abdul Aziz. Participants carried banners, placards and also distributed pamphlets to raise awareness and inform people about ways to prevent the spread of the virus.
