Rawalpindi - Following the instructions of City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, police has arrested four Afghans residing illegally in the area of Police Station City.

Moreover, a search operation was also carried out on orders of top cop by a team in the precincts of PS Saddar Bairooni to flush out suspects from the locality, informed police spokesman on Monday.

The detained Afghans were identified as Muhammad Amin, Taslim, Abdul Rehman and Hazrat Khan against whom a case under 14 Foreign Act has also been registered.

On the other hand, a police team conducted a search operation in Ali Town and its adjoining areas and checked 67 houses. Out of 67, police collected information about some 200 persons, the spokesman said.

Similarly, police rounded up at least 10 men and women involved in immoral activities in areas of Pirwadhai and Kamal Abad. According to details, teams of Pirwadhai and Race Course Police conducted raids at

Bilal Hotel and in Kamal Abad area respectively and apprehended ten men and women for their involvement in immoral activities. Cases were

registered against the accused and later they were sent to Adiala Jail.

Taking action against car lifting, PS Cantonment officials netted a man namely Sajid Iqbal and recovered a stolen Mehran car from his possession. In Ratta Amral, police took action against illegal LPG refilling agencies and handcuffed a dealer namely Ali Rehman, besides seizing cylinders and other items being used in refilling, he added. Cases were registered against the accused.
