LAHORE - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been urged to play effective role for making better relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
Adopting different resolutions in the session of its Majlas-e- Shoora, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan supported Iran’s nuclear accord with six world powers, terming it in benefit of Ummah. “The Saudis reservations on the Iranian accord are unnecessary, so the two should end their differences for better ties in future. This will help create cordial relations and peace in the world,” reads the resolution, passed by the JUP body meeting held under the chairmanship of Pir Ejaz Hashmi.
The resolution added the good relations between the both countries could be helpful in fighting against ISIS, which is emerging as powerful militant group in the Arab region.
The JUP expressed government’s stance on Kashmir as hopeless and urged the parties to mount pressure in a bid to satisfy the Kashmiris. The leaders of the JUP asked Nawaz Sharif to remain conscious about Indian tricks and only support the self-determination right of the people of Kashmir in the light of UN resolutions.
“Foreign office should raise the issue of Indian atrocities against innocent Kashmiris who were fighting to get rid of Indian illegal occupation,” it urged.
The JUP leaders condemned hanging of Yaqoob Memen in his alleged role in Bombay killings, saying the drama in the Indian city had been staged by RAW itself.
It also supported the dialogue between Afghanistan government and the Taliban for stability in the region.
JUP also extended its support in Army’s operation against terrorism in parts of the country and especially in Karachi, urging army and Rangers to continue its operation till the elimination of last terrorist in the country.
