LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf submitted a resolution to the Punjab Assembly Monday for trying Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on the charges of treasons. The MQM chief came under fire for flinging insult at the Army and institutions two days ago.

Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed moved the motion wherein the federal government was urged to seek extradition of the MQM chief from the UK through Interpol. The JUI-F is the co-mover of the resolution.

Punjab Assembly Deputy Opposition Leader Sabtain Khan also moved an adjournment motion in the assembly for chalking out a comprehensive strategy to save the people from flood. He accused the provincial government of making insufficient arrangements to control the flood damages.–Staff Reporter
