KHYBER AGENCY - Two persons sustained injuries when a pick-up vehicle hit an Improvise Explosive Device (IED) planted by unknown militants here at Sakhi bridge area of tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency, official and local sources told on Monday.

The Khasadar official told that the incident took place when Izat Shah, brother of tribal elder and a social worker Sher Shah, was on his way to home along with his guard. The wounded Izat Shah and the guard who received splinters wounds were shifted to Peshawar hospital for medical aid, sources told.

Soon after the incident, the security agencies officials rushed to the scene, cordoned off the whole area and collected evidences for investigation, administration official told.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sher Shah is social worker and an advocator of restoration of durable peace in the area.
