LAHORE: The Punjab government is efficiently working on a comprehensive plan to ensure the quality of food and other edibles in the markets.

In a meeting on Monday, Commissioner Abdullah Khan Sumbal reviewed progress of anti-adulteration campaign. DCO Muhammad Usman, MPA Waheed Gill, DG Punjab Food Authority, and officers of Urban Unit and Health department were also present in the meeting. For the pilot project given by Food Authority, the Urban Units have been assigned with the duty of making surveys of eight markets in four selected towns of Lahore, the commissioner said while assuring full cooperation by the district administration.–Staff Reporter
