Rallies flay Rajnath visit to Pakistan

Multan-Thousands of charged Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) activists staged demonstrations against the visit of Indian Interior Minister Rajnath Singh to Pakistan in entire South Punjab region on Wednesday.
The protesters gathered in Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rahinm Yar Khan, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Sadiqbad, Lodhran, Pakpattan, Vehari and other towns of South Punjab and condemned Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
The JuD and JI workers assembled here at Chowk Kutchehry in Multan and shouted slogans like ,” Go-back Rajnath,” Rajnath played a key role in demolishing Babri Mosque,” “Kashmir will be Pakistan,” Killer of Kashmiris- Rajnath, Stop killing innocent Kashmiris, Restore right to plebiscite in Kashmir etc. The Indian Interior Minister is coming down to Islamabad to attend a meeting of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC). The protesters burnt Indian flags. They were also holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-India slogans. Mian Suhail Ahmed of JuD led the rally in Multan.
MECPO NEW GRID STATION
The Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) will set up a new grid station at Multan Industrial Estate to cater to the electricity needs of the industrial area of Multan. Talking to a delegation of industrialists here on Wednesday, the Chief Executive Officer of Mepco Engr. Fazal Ullah Durrani said that the establishment of a new grid station exclusively for industrial estate had become inevitable. He added that the demand for electricity was continuously rising with increase in industrial activities and only an independent grid station could fulfil this requirement. He said that the Mepco was determined to serve its consumers in the best possible way.
The members of the delegation including Hussain Ahmad Fazal, Khawaja Muhammad Azam and Saleem Akhtar Siddiqui pointed out that a new feeder was urgently required to fulfil the electricity needs of industrial estate. They pointed out that thousands of people earned their living at industrial estate and resolving the problems being faced by this area would facilitate thousands of families.
