UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has called up Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and agreed on the need for "full cooperation" by all to ensure that the perpetrators of Mumbai terror strikes are brought to justice, reports Indian TV channel Doordarshan. Ban expressed determination to provide a lead role for the UN in dealing with the global menace of terrorism. Condemning the terror attack in Mumbai, the UN Secretary-General expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of those killed and wounded in the three-day-long attacks. During the telephonic talk, Ban and Singh agreed that it was critical to bring the perpetrators of the carnage to justice and that all should fully cooperate in this effort, the UN Information Centre said in New Delhi. Ban commended the courage and resilience shown by the government and people of India, it said.
