ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari has approved increase in the number of judges of Balochistan High Court (BHC) from eight to 11, an official said Wednesday. The Presidency has approved the addition in number of BHC judges while considering a summary moved by the Law Ministry in this regard, the official added. A notification to this effect is likely to be issued today (Thursday). Officials say the increase in strength of superior judges in BHC is likely to cater the demand for more courts to provide justice to people of Balochistan expeditiously. Increase in the number of judges and their appointments in High Courts of Lahore, Sindh and Peshawar are also likely to take place in the coming days and weeks, sources in Law Ministry further revealed.
