Hearing in ZAB's land occupation case adjourned

KARACHI - Sindh High Court Tuesday adjourned the hearing regarding the bail plea moved by ex Mukhtarkar Mushtaq Solangi and Mohammad Botta allegedly involved in occupying the land of former PM slain Zulfiqar Ali Buhtto till December 5. The SHC bench, headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, conducted the hearing regarding the matter in which advocate Mohammad Asharf Qazi appeared on the behalf of Solnagi and requested to grand further time to submit the documents before the court. The court has granted his request. While the Additional Advocate General Sindh Masood A Noorani also appeared before the court to submit his comments. The ex Mukhtarkar and Mohammad Botta are detained in Karachi Prison. The accused are facing the trials by Anti Corruption Court with the charges for occupying the land of the slain Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. According to the Anti Corruption Establishment, the said accused had involved to make record of rights according t V.E VII of Deh Mehran Malir Town Karachi in the name of the former Prime Minister, which was latter illegally transferred in the name land mafia through fake documents on the basis of forged sale deed on the 17th of November 1981, and made wrong record. On the other, the division bench of SHC comprised of Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Dr Qamaruddin Bhora has adjourned the hearing regarding the contempt of court on the petition filed by Musarrat Jabeen, mother of renowned gold trader Kamran Tessori to a date in office. The applicant respondents the Jail Superintendent saying that despite of issuing directives by the apex court to allow her and her other family members to meet with Kamran Tessori and provide him with home made food, but the jail management did not allow meeting with them.
