OUR STAFF REPORTER THATTA - The confirmation of four HIV/AIDS cases and fear for more cases have caused a panic in Thatta. AIDS control programme focal person Dr Aijaz Kazi confirmed that four young people had been tested positive for HIV virus. These four people are from Jung Shahi, Gharo Sajawal towns and are under treatment now. The news of the spread of HIV/AIDS has caused panic in the district as local hospitals lack diagnostic facilities. The civil society has urged the Health Department and Thatta District Administration launch a vigorous awareness campaign using cable networks and local media to educate the masses on preventive measures.
