Hasfa bowls Lahore to U-19 cricket final

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Hafsa Amjad bowled Lahore Region to final with six-wicket victory over Multan Region in the Under-19 National Women Cricket Championship semi-final at the Country Club, Muridke Ground B on Saturday. Hafsa Amjad got three vital wickets of Multan to restrict them to 84 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Namra Imran (2-16) also bowled well. Areeb Shamim was the only player for Multan who scored 24 runs. Chasing the target of 84 runs, Lahore Regions achieved the target in 7.5 overs for the loss of four wickets. Sidra Nawaz (21), Fareeha Mahmood (16) and Namra Imran (12) played vital role in their teams victory. Gulnaz Majeed (2-18) bowled well from Multan. Hafsa Amjad of Lahore Region once again claimed player of the match award. In other semi-final of the event played at the same venue, Sadia Khaliq with her all-round performance guided Rawalpindi Region to five-wicket win over Karachi Region. Karachi Region, batting first, scored 93 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Hiba Batool (22), Marium Bukhari (15) batted well. Sadia Khaliq (2-11), Tayyba-al-Hussaini (2-16), Aaliya Riaz (2-18) bowled well. Rawalpindi Region made required runs in 17.5 overs after losing five wickets. Sadia (37), Ayesha (21) batted well. Rida Hussain (3-14) bowled well. Sadia Khaliq of Rawalpindi was named player of the match.
