The National Accountability Bureau Punjab will launch various programmes to observe anti-corruption week from Tuesday (today), which is observed as international anti-corruption day all over the world every year, spokesman for NAB said.  He said that the day is observed to commemorate signing of United Nation Convention against Corruption at Merida, Mexico in 2003 by the member states.

It signifies global efforts to combat corruption besides providing opportunity to create awareness and commitment to curb corruption.

NAB Punjab has organised series of programmes and events during anti-corruption week to demonstrate harmony with international community and mobilise public support to eliminate corruption from society. The programme includes installation of banners, streamers, distribution of broachers, flyers, holding seminars, declamation contests, painting and poster exhibition, symbolic walk, radio/TV talk shows and cheque distribution ceremony for the affectees of scams.
