Policeman Muhammad Mussab Dastaghir who was kidnapped for ransom by seven kidnapers on Monday was recovered in injured condition near Jalalpur Bhattian on Pindi Bhattian Road.
The seriously tortured cop has been shifted to the DHQ Hospital Hafizabad by the police and later referred to a Lahore hospital due to his critical condition. According to police source, accused Irshadullah and six others of Kharak Bhattian had monetary dispute with the victim. Irshadullah telephonically asked the victim to visit the village and get his amount but when the victim reached on Vanike Road Hafizabad on Monday, the seven accused riding on two cars allegedly kidnapped him and later demanded ransom amount Rs5 million.
According to the victim, the accused took him to a deserted place where they administered him intoxicants and not only seriously injured him but also poured salt on the wounds. He further alleged that the accused also forcibly affixed his signatures and thumb impressions on a document and later threw him near a poultry farm on Jalalpur Bhattian Road.
