Islamabad - Virtual University of Pakistan on Wednesday announced the results of national essay writing competition for regular students enrolled in any educational institution.

The essay competition was organised across the country on the topic, ‘Role of E-Learning in National Development.’ The competition was held to promote writing, descriptive and creative skills and a futuristic approach among university students. It also aimed to encourage research and analysis on the theme.

According to results, Nauman Malik from the University of Sargodha secured the first position in the competition while Ufaq Sherazi from Ripah International University Islamabad stood second. The third position was awarded to Aymen Ahmed from NUST, Islamabad. The winners of the first, second and third positions will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs 50,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with the merit certificates.
