Islamabad - Capital Development Authority (CDA) has opted for a proactive approach to address the problems of residents, CDA officials said yesterday.

In this regard, the Authority has also not only taken up work on the stalled projects but its commitment towards deliverance can be gauged by the fact that all such projects are near completion. In addition to this, it has initiated new mega projects also. This was told during a briefing to a 30-member delegation of 18th Senior Management Course (SMC) being conducted by the National Institute of Management, Karachi. The delegation visited CDA Headquarters as part of their Country Study Tour. Member Engineering, Member Planning and Design/Finance, Deputy Director General (Land and Estate) and other senior officials of the Authority were present on the occasion.

The delegation was informed that Authority has taken mega development initiatives focusing on resolving major issues of the city. In order to facilitate the general public, most busy avenues of the city i.e Islamabad Expressway, is being made signal-free from Zero point to Rawat with the cost of approximately Rs21 billion.

The delegation was informed that due to special attention and focus of the sitting CDA Management, first phase of the project has been completed, one month prior to the completion deadline. The delegation was further informed that realising the growing housing needs in the city, CDA has expedited development work on many stalled residential projects. Completion of development work at Park Enclave Housing Project, in the given time frame is landmark in this context, where possession of the plots will be given from December 28, 2015, said a press release issued here Thursday. The delegation expressed their deep interest during the detailed briefing.
