Bahawalpur University starts new service

BAHAWALPUR (PR): The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has started pick and drop service for special students on the international day for persons with disabilities. Prof Dr Qaiser Mushtaq, Vice Chancellor inaugurated this facility at Abbasia Campus today in a special ceremony organized to mark the day attended by senior faculty members, officers and special students.

On this occasion a special card was also issued enabling such students to avail all university facilities on priority basis. Talking with media persons the Vice Chancellor said that the present administration is doing efforts to make IUB a special people friendly university by providing all possible facilities.

A plan is going on to make all university buildings friendly for special persons by constructing ramps, installing of elevators and provision of wheel chairs and other audio visual instruments helpful in studies. Prof Dr Qaiser Mushtaq added that a summary has been sent to Governor’s Secretariat for provision of financial support to facilitate special students.

The university has also waived off tuition and hostel fee for these students besides allocating three percent quota in jobs according to the Punjab Government policy.

ExD to implement SAP

Mobilink becomes No.1 3G player in Pakistan
