SADIQABAD-Remaining adherent to the political ideology of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bibi, the PPP workers will spare no effort to materialise the dream of the party founder which is economic and democratic stability of Pakistan.

PPP South Punjab spokesman Rana Tariq Mehmood Khan stated while addressing a ceremony organised in connection with the 50th foundation day of Pakistan People’s Party here the other day.

On the occasion, he said that PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto struggled throughout his life for the rights of the poor. “He not only got united all Muslim countries but also made Pakistan an unbeatable nuclear power,” he boasted, adding that Benazir Bibi continued his father’s mission and now her son Bialwal has taken the mantle with his ancestors’ vision. “Now, no political party can prevent the PPP come into power again,” he claimed.

Later, a cake was cut in connection with foundation day of the party.

PPP tehsil president Rana Nadeem Afzal, secretary general Majid Baloch, city president Rana Arshad Javed, city general secretary Habur Rehman and others were also present on the occasion.

Rs8m released for THQ

The government has granted Rs8 million for the establishment of cardiology ward, construction of roads and sewerage system in THQ Hospital here.

Talking to media here the other day, Provincial Minister for Special Education Ch Muhammad Shafique said that the government is committed to providing all basic necessities of life to the masses at their doorsteps. All-out efforts are being made to provide free medicines to patients at the public hospitals, he added.

Criticising the opposition non-serious behaviour, he said that the public has tired of the politics of blame and violence as the opposition, except of making false allegation of corruption, has proved nothing with evidence.

“It is due to the right and effective economic policies of the PML-N government that the world renowned financial institutions accept improvement in Pakistan’s economy,” he claimed. He said that the PML-N government has always worked for the betterment of the public and will continue to perform this noble duty.


The RY Khan DCO has ordered to lodge the trees in THQ Hospital here. According to official sources, the DCO had paid a visit to the THQ Hospital where he ordered to cut all the trees on the hospital premises at which the officials has started lodging of trees. The citizens, on the other hand, expressed grave concerns over his step, saying trees are necessary to keep the environment clean. With the prevailing air-pollution, it has become necessary to grow more and more new trees rather to cut already grown trees.

When contacted, Hospital MS Qamar Qayyum said he has no other way except obeying the DCO orders.
