Islamabad High Court (IHC) has rejected former Prime Minister nawaz sharif 's plea to merge two NAB references against him.
Two-member bench of IHC gave the verdict.
Earlier, nawaz sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz reached the Federal Judicial Complex.
The accountability court heard references against the Sharif family.
References were heard against nawaz sharif , Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar (retd) and Ishaq Dar.
When the hearing began, Nawaz's counsel Khawaja Harris informed the court that the Islamabad High Court will today announce its decision on their plea to club the three corruption references against Nawaz by afternoon.
Harris requested the court to adjourn the hearing until the IHC decision was given.
After which Judge Mohammad Bashir then adjourned the hearing until 1pm today.
While speaking to reporters after leaving the courtroom Nawaz said that it seems he will face punishment for the disqualification case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen.
Earlier on 28 November, no proceedings were conducted by the accountability court regarding the hearing of corruption references against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family today due to the absence of the defence counsel.
When the hearing began, Judge Mohammad Bashir was informed that Nawaz 's counsel, Khawaja Harris, was not present in court upon which the Judge adjourned the hearing until December 4.
On the plea of nawaz sharif , accountability court Islamabad on 28 November deferred the hearing in all the three corruption references against him, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (r) Muhammad Safdar until December 4, as the verdict of the Islamabad High Court on clubbing all the three cases is awaited.
Nawaz and his family are facing three corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in light of the Supreme Court's July 28 judgment in the Panama Papers case.
