Youth guns down father, brother over ‘property row’

FAISALABAD: A youth killed his father and brother over a property dispute here in the limits of Satiana police early Sunday morning.
Police said that accused Muhammad Idrees, resident of Chak 230/GB had a dispute with his father over a property. He allegedly shot at and killed his father Muhammad Afzal, 50, and brother Muhammad Junaid after a heated agreement with them over the property.
On information, the police took the bodies into custody and shifted to mortuary for post-mortem.
Further investigation is underway.
DACOIT GANG BUSTED
The Mureedwala police busted a dacoits gang and arrested its five active members including the ringleader.
The Mureedwala Police, on a tip-off, conducted raid in Chak 195/GB Mamonkanjan and arrested Irfan Qasim alias Fani (ringleader) and his accomplices – Rashid Ali, Muhammad Shehbaz, Arsalan and Muhammad Muneer.
The police also recovered weapons from the accused who were wanted by the Samundri, Khurarianwala and Tandlianwala circles police in a number of cases including dacoity, robbery and theft.–Agencies

Girl abducted on way back home

TOBA TEK SINGH: A school girl was allegedly abducted in Gojra here the other night. According to Gojra police, a 15-year-old girl of Chak 248/GB Mallri was on the way back home when accused Abdul Ghaffar of Chak 349/GB abducted her. Police registered a case and has been conducting raids for recovery of the girl.–Staff Reporter
