A local court on Tuesday directed that TV anchor Shahid Masood, who is currently in jail on remand in the PTV corruption case, be sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand in the case regarding snatching a journalist’s mobile phone.

A journalist had registered a case against Masood after he snatched his mobile phone and deleted data during his appearance before the Islamabad High Court a few days ago.

During the last hearing, the court had ordered Masood’s arrest after he failed to appear before it.

The TV anchor was brought from Adiala Jail and presented before Judicial Magistrate Hafeez Ahmed today.

After a brief hearing, the court ordered that Masood be sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand.
