American blogger Cynthia D Ritchie has withdrawn defamation case against Pakistan People’s Party chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and his son Kasim Gilani.

“Cynthia Ritchie has admitted to her lies and slander and withdrawn her baseless defamation cases against Chairman @BBhuttoZardari, former Prime Minister @YusufRazaGilani and me,” Kasim Gilani tweeted on Friday.

He said: “I (had) promised that we won’t let her get away with spewing lies. I will further expose her and others of her ilk soon as well.”

Previously, Cynthia Ritchie had levelled rape and harassment against top PPP leadership. She had offered to drop the charges if PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari apologised.

She had also urged Bilawal to help young girls, Umm-e-Rabab Chandiyo and Nayab Sikandar Umrani for injustices against them. Chandio has been fighting a case against PPP’s feudal lord who had allegedly killed her father, uncle, and grandfather in a dispute. Whereas, Umrani has taken refuge in Islamabad as she is an eyewitness to the murder of her family by her step-brother.

“Dear @BBhuttoZardari; I have cases pending against PPP due to rape threats, kidnapping, blackmail threats against me & my family. I would be willing to forgive/drop my cases if you issue a statement condemning this behaviour against women & help @JusticeforNayab @UmeRubabchandio,” said Cynthia Ritchie in a previous tweet.

She also repeated her allegations in the Facebook. Moreover, she invited journalists to thoroughly investigate her assertions in the video.

In August, Cynthia Ritchie, was found unconscious at her residence, claimed to be intoxicated by unidentified Indian men who intimidate her to stop working in Pakistan.

Reports said American-born filmmaker and blogger has recorded her statement to the federal cops upon regaining consciousness.

The influencer said two Indian nationals had come to her apartment and “warned me to stop working” in Pakistan. Later, “they intoxicated me with some substance before leaving,” Ritchie said in her statement.
