ISLAMABAD - Abbottabad registered a massive win by 10 wickets against Quetta in the Quaid Trophy match here at the Diamond Club Ground on Tuesday. The winners achieved their meagre target of 83 runs in just 10 overs on the third day of 4-day national cricket fixture. Both openers did well and reached home easily with out conceding a single wicket. Hammad Ali (42) and captain Fawad Ali (39) remained not out. Hammad hit 9 fours while Fawad hit 8 boundaries to get the 83 runs target. Earlier, Quetta restarted their innings at overnight score 7 for 0. However, both batsmen aggregated 66 runs for the first wicket but rest of players could not face the opponent pacers. Shahzad Tareen (31) and Taimur Ali (28) were major contributors for the Quetta. Noor ul Amin captured 4 for 56 and Akmal Khan 3 for 15. Raees got 2 while Asif Ali chipped in one wicket for Abbottabad to restrict Quetta at 173 in their second innings.
