The military offensive in South Waziristan is gradually progressing towards a logical end as our Armed Forces tackle what is left of the militants. It is imperative now that the development process in initiated with full vigor. FATA has been neglected long in provision of governance and other basic necessities. The socio-economic deprivations that were created as a result have played a vital role in making this area a terrorist sanctuary. One can be sure that with massive influx of money from abroad as per promise of the Americans, development would take place very rapidly here.
