RAHIMYAR KHAN PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has said that the government bypassed the Parliament especially the Opposition while taking decision of increasing petroleum prices. Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Nawaz said that democracy was not damaging the country, rather wrong policies were. The government has neither implemented Supreme Court decision nor the Charter of Democracy, which is weakening the democracy, he held. He further said the government was still following the policies of Pervez Musharraf and these policies should be changed for the betterment of the democracy and the country. Answering a question, Nawaz said that solo flight was not good and they would decide about any alliance in the next elections. He said he had no personal discontent with President Asif Zardari but he did not agree with the way matters were being handled. Answering another question on Karachi situation, he said instead of blaming each other, culprits should be punished. On the division of provinces, he said that he alone could not take such a decision as such decisions were taken in the Parliament as per the Constitution. He said that PML-N had lost NA seat in Mansehra because Maulana Fazlur Rahman violated the agreement and announced the candidate. He said he was in favour of contesting the Local Bodies election on party basis. Nawaz started PML-N reorganisation campaign from Rahimyar Khan and addressed the PML-N workers there. He said that there was no deal that barred him from contesting the NA-123 by-election. He said that the ministers and advisors who had taken benefit from NRO should resign.
