LAHORE - Indonesian team outplayed Pakistan 3-0 in the second league round of the Asia Oceania Group II Federation Cup ladies team tennis in Thailand on Thursday. Favourite Indonesian team outplayed Pakistan, who defeated Kyrgyzstan in the opening pool league on Wednesday, by three to zero in the second league round. Ushna Sohail lost to A Damayanti, ranked 355 in the world, by 6-1 6-0 and Sarah Mahboob lost to L Tananta, ranked 456, by 6-0, 6-1 while in the doubles, Saba Aziz and Sara Mansoor lost to Y Basuki and J Rompies 6-0, 6-0. Indonesia, a leading ladies tennis country in the region, had no problem in clinching the second successive victory. Pakistani girls would have done better if they were able to clinch at least one set in the two singles. But still playing at international level would give them experience and would help them in future. Pakistan will play against Philippines on Friday (today).
