Negligence of duties

It seems that the government is not willing to pay attention to an alarming situation occurring due to substandard and expired drugs being sold in the markets. Incidents, such as the Tyno syrup, and substandard medicines at the PIC took more than 200 lives but no prompt action was taken, if this had been any advanced country heads would have rolled, but nothing happened here? No one was held accountable.
It is shameful that even after the formation of a Drug Regulatory Authority; we are witnessing reoccurrence of such incidents while the black-marketing of imported life-saving drugs is on the rise due to shortage of local products. It is extremely sad that our government officials sitting at responsible positions are unable to feel the importance of their jobs and are doing nothing to save ill-fated patients.
