Islamabad - Islamabad police have booked two Chinese nationals for cheating the officials of Islamabad traffic police (ITP) during a driving test here at the Islamabad traffic police office on Monday.
In what can be described as a deceitful act, Zhang Zhang appeared in place of Wang Chang in the driving test but the traffic police officials foiled their attempt to get a driving licence through unfair means. A Pakistani national, Shakeel Ahmed, accompanying them was also arrested by the police. However, a local court on Tuesday granted them bails and the Margalla police released them. They were booked under section 420/34 of the PPC.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested 10 suspects during search operation in various areas of the city, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. Teams from Ramna, Bhara Kahu and Tarnol police Stations conducted search in the areas of Sector G-10, Dhoke Jilani, Pind Parrian and under-construction buildings as well as plazas there. They succeeded to nab 10 suspects who are being investigated further.
Furthermore, Islamabad police have arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered two 30-bore illicit pistols along with ammunition and looted items from their possession. According to details, Industrial Area police arrested Muhammad Waseem involved in street crime. Sihala police arrested two accused Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Shahzad involved in a dacoity and recovered two illicit pistols along with ammunition from their possession.
Tarnol police arrested a drug peddler Waqas and recovered 160 grams heroine from him. Secretariat police arrested one Usama who was using a fake number plate on his applied for car. Bhara Kahu police arrested five persons for their alleged involvement in immoral activities. They were identified as Shoaib, Ehsan, Toqeer, Mohsin and Ansa Shabbir. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is under way, the spokesperson said.
