Afghan Director General Military Operation (DGMO) met his Pakistani counterpart today. Afghanistan’s Major General Afzal Aman met Major General Amir Riaz at General Headquarter (GHQ), Rawalpindi.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) sources both agreed to cooperate on mutual border security and on elimination of cross border terrorism.

“We will not let terrorists to use our lands against each other,” both DGMOs agreed.

Pakistan and Afghanistan relations took a turn for the worse again following the Bacha Khan University attack on January 20. Following investigations, the security agencies found that the militants orchestrated the attack from Afghanistan.

Pakistan has officially submitted its concerns to the Afghan political and military leadership. Both sides have agreed to enhance the intelligence cooperation for rooting out cross-border terrorism between both states.
