A woman, her daughter and son were killed in a road accident near Chanigoth while two others died in similar mishap in Sheikhupura.
Nasim Mai, her daughter Nazia Bibi and son Shabbir Ahmed, residents of Chak 65-Abbasia Liaquatpur, were going on a motorbike. Near Bus Adda Mahand Sharif, a car hit their motorbike resultantly they died on the spot. On receiving the information, Chaingoth and Motorway police parties reached there and removed the dead bodies to Rural Health Centre Chanigoth. Police have taken the car into its custody and started the investigations.
Two people lost their lives while 15 other suffered injuries in a collision between a Dawoo bus and truck on Motorway city inter-change on Wednesday. Six cattle heads were also killed . The bus on its way to Rawalpindi from Lahore hit the truck, also going in the same direction near city Inter-change. As a result, two people riding on a truck identified as Aslam and Iqbal died on the spot when the truck overturned.
Similarly, three animals were also killed in the mishap. Fifteen passengers boarded in the bus also suffered injuries, 5 of them were seriously injured when it struck against the road divider. The truck driver also suffered critical injuries and was shifted to local DHQ Hospital along with other injured persons. Bus driver Irfan succeeded to flee from the site.
