Rawalpindi - A photographic exhibition under the auspices of Rawalpindi Arts Council depicting the atrocities of the Indian armed forces on the innocent people of the Occupied Kashmir was put on display here yesterday.
Former MNA and Chairman Metro Bus Service, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi accompanied by former Director RAC Naheed Manzoor, Chairman Jinnah Iqbal Fikri Forum Rana Abdul Baqi, Convener Hurriat Conference Ghulam Muhammad Safi and Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed inaugurated the exhibition.
More than 150 photographs were showcased in the exhibition which highlighted the violation of the human rights by the Indian forces.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi said that Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif raised Kashmir issue on every forum which was appreciable. He said that the series of the atrocities of the Indian forces against the innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir is the violation of the human rights and a challenge for the international of human rights.
Convener Hurriat Conference Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that the PML-N government is raising the Kashmir issue on every forum. “This has proved encouraging for Kashmiris,” he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Naheed Manzoor said that United Nation is adopting criminal silence over the issue of the violation of human rights and scarifies of martyred of the Occupied Kashmiris who are simply demanding self-determination and independence.
RAC RD Waqar Ahmed thanked all the honourable guests and said that Pakistan would support Kashmiris till achievement of their right to self-determination.
Ghulam Nabi Butt, Haji Muhammad Sultan, Abdul Majeed Mir, Nisar Ahmed Mirza of Hurriat Conference and Azmat Ullah Sultan participated in the exhibition.
