LAHORE - Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Kh Imran Nazir has said that second health week would be observed from February 19 to 24 for screening of hep atitis and other noncommunicable diseases in all districts.
Addressing the CEOs Health Conference on Saturday, he said that screening camps would soon be set up for 35,000 special children. Secretary P&SH Ali Jan khan, Special Secretary, Additional Secretaries, Director General Health Services, Project Directors and all the CEOs Health attended the Conference.
Kh Imran Nazir said that Turkey was providing technical support to the Punjab Government in health sector. Turkey has trained nurses and rescue workers while more officers will be sent for training. He said that revamping of Tehsil and District hospitals was in full swing. PSHD is providing basic infrastructure and modern facilities to the hospitals as well as ensuring the availability of doctors and trained staff. He instructed CEOs to ensure all measures for treatment of even last patient of flu.
