Muhammad Zahid told APP here on Saturday that water would be released into 50 perennial canals of the Multan zone. The 1,800 cusec water would be released out of 2,200 cusec water quota, he added. He said that department had completed

desiltation work at 49 perennial canals into two phases. About 16 schemes were

completed in first phase while 33 in second phase.–APP
