ISLAMABAD - A high level of engineering delegation, comprising prominent companies from public and private sector, would visit Kuwait from tomorrow (Monday) to explore possibilities of bilateral cooperation in oil, gas, energy and infrastructure sectors. According to the press statement issued here on Saturday, the Engineering Development Board (EDB) has organized a high-level engineering delegation for the visit of Kuwait. Delegation would visit Kuwait from January 5 to January 8 to explore possibilities of bilateral cooperation and business development opportunities in large developmental projects, coming up in Kuwait in oil and gas, energy and infrastructure sectors. The delegation will be led by Chairman, State Engineering Corporation, Ministry of Industries and Production Maj Gen (Retd) Zaheer Ahmad Khan. Leading engineering companies on the delegation are Pakistan Engineering Company, PEL, Huffaz Seamless Pipe Industries, Newage Cables, Descon Engineering Company, National Power Construction Corporation, Heavy Electrical Complex and Breeze Frost Industries. The Pakistan delegation visit has been organized by EDB in coordination with the Pakistan Mission in Kuwait and Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The delegation will hold important meetings with various government officials of Kuwaiti ministries to discuss ways for promoting business between the two countries. The Pakistani companies would look for exploring market for engineering goods and services ranging from power equipment like power and distribution transformers, high voltage transmission towers, high and extra high transmission lines, electric cables and wires, EPC contracting, substations, engineering construction, power projects on turnkey basis, power generation plants and industrial electrification.
