KARACHI (APP) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain has said the government of Pakistan is making every possible effort to cope with the terrorism. He expressed these view in an important meeting of his party at MQM International Secretariat, London, said a statement issued by MQM here on Saturday. He said it is the responsibility of the government to create awareness in the world about its efforts against terrorism. Altaf also called for sending the delegations of experienced peoples having command over national and international affairs from Pakistan to all over the world to present the stand of the country effectively. He also appealed to the government to convene a round-table conference of all political and religious parties to discuss the matters, what he called shortage of gas, electricity and water. Among other, Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan, Nazim Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal, Deputy Convener MQM Rabita Committee, Dr. Farooq Sattar and Parliamentary Leader of MQM in the Senate, Senator Babar Khan Ghauri were also present. Speaking at the meeting, Altaf said Pakistan itself, is a victim of extremism and terrorism and the government is making all possible efforts to cope with the same. He appealed to the government for constitute delegations of experienced parliamentarians of government and the opposition so that they may visit the Europe, America and other countries to present the stand of Pakistan at diplomatic level. Altaf said the Parliamentarians should not only present the resolution against terrorism before the assemblies but they should also inform the people of their respective constituencies about the losses caused to the image of the country due to the terrorism. He also called upon the analysts and columnists to raise voice against extremism and terrorism and tell the world that Pakistan is a responsible country. Altaf said Pakistan is passing through a difficult phase and confronting various challenges on internal and external fronts. He was of the view in the prevailing situation all should show the unity and forget the differences. He urged all the leaders and parliamentarians of his party to contact the leaders of all political and religious parties to promote the unity. Altaf Hussain also advised leaders of his party to inform the people and MQM's activists about the situation in the country.
