LAHRORE – The Punjab government has submitted the record of Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) to NAB, said sources on Thursday.
The sources said since the Punjab government was confident of transparency in the project, it had submitted the same to the bureau. According to them, NAB had demanded the same in February last but the Punjab government did not pay heed to it. The travel facility came under fire by opponents of the PML-N particularly Deputy Prime Minister Pervaiz Elahi and PPP’s Raja Riaz, over its cost.
According to NAB official, the call for record of any development project was a routine matter - contract evaluation. The Punjab government presented the project record following the NAB director general’s fresh summoning a few days ago.
