Patients suffer as YDA goes on strike

RAWALPINDI - Young doctors working with allied hospitals stayed away from the outdoor patient departments following the province-wide strike call given by their association on Thursday, causing great difficulties for the visiting patients. The Young Doctors Association (YDA) had given the strike call against the arrest of its members in Gujranawala, demanding immediate release of their colleagues.
During the strike, OPDs at District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ), Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) and Holy Family Hospital (HFH) remained closed from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
However, senior doctors attended the patients having serious health conditions.
