LAKKI MARWAT - The office-bearers of various teachers organisations have warned of launching a protest campaign against alleged illegal recruitments in Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bannu.Talking to reporters here on Thursday, they said that the authorities of BISE Bannu recently made recruitments in the educational board in violation of prescribed rules and regulations. “The vacancies were not advertised in newspapers nor other essential formalities were fulfilled before issuing appointment orders”, said Muslim Teachers Association’s president Naimatullah Khan Meenakhel.He alleged that the authorities concerned bulldozed prescribed rules and regulations mandatory for appointments besides they made a gross violation of merit policy.All Teachers Association Lakki tehsil chapter president Shakir Tajazai said that through such illegal appointments the eligible and talented candidates had been deprived of their due rights.“The new appointees belong to Bannu district but the educational board is not the property of this district only”, he maintained and said that teachers bodies of Lakki Marwat district would not tolerate usurping the genuine rights of Lakki Marwat residents in appointments. “The fresh appointments in Bannu educational board are unjust and illegal as the authorities concerned are biased towards the residents of Lakki district”, said All Primary Teachers Association district president Haji Abdul Rahim. He said that instead of appointing deserving candidates the authorities recruited near and dear ones of political elite of Bannu district.The teachers’ leaders demanded of the provincial government to probe the ‘illegal’ appointments in BISE Bannu and punish the officials who violated merit policy and rues and regulations. They also called upon the lawmakers and political elite to raise voice against illegal recruitments in BISE Bannu and play their role for the provision of due rights to the residents of Lakki district in appointments.
