QUETTA  - The Frontier Corps on Friday recovered 11 labourers from their captors in separate raids on Balochistan’s Pishin and Mangochar districts.

Initial investigations suggested at least ten workers had been called from Khanewal area of Punjab province by a contractor, Tariq, and later handed over to a kidnapper.  Senior Frontier Corps  official Aazam told media the labourers were found chained when the raids were conducted, and two kidnappers, Khalid and Tariq, were keeping their vigil.

But, he added, the kidnappers fled the scene taking the advantage of darkness.  In the raid on Mangochar area, a worker taken captive from Fazilpur Civil Hospital in Punjab’s Rajanpur area last year was recovered. Similarly, a ransom of Rs3 million was demanded from family of Ilhai Bakhsh for his release.
