HAFIZABAD - Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue-1122) Hafizabad rescued and hospitalised 28,647 patients, removed 722 dead bodies and evacuated 120 flood victims during 2013, said District Emergency Officer Sibghatullah.
He said that Rescue-1122 received 380,433 calls of which 110,122 calls were obnoxious or irrelevant and 225,116 distorted which is deplorable. Moreover, it received 24,644 calls seeking information while 2,113 calls were fake during the last year. He said that rescue squad extinguished fire at 505 places.
To a question, he said that the rescue squad spent average time of 6.37 minutes in reaching the site of incident.
