The district administration has warned that those found profiteering and hoarding would be dealt with sternly.

DCO Mansoor Qadir said that overcharging would not be tolerated while the violators would be brought to book. Addressing a meeting of District Price Control Committee, he said that it was right of every trader to get reasonable and just profit but they should ensure the supply of essential commodities by getting nominal profit. The meeting was attended by special price magistrates and representatives of traders and members of the peace committee.

Serving the people is a kind of worship thus the traders can get the blessings of Almighty Allah by providing relief for them by supplying essential commodities at reasonable rates, he said. In consultation with the traders, the committee also fixed rates of different commodities. He directed the special price magistrates to continue crackdowns on profiteers to provide relief to the common man.
