KARACHI  - Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi general secretary Abdul Wahab has demanded the Sindh chief minister and other officials concerned to ensure timely payment of salaries to the employees of KMC, water board and fire brigade.

Wahab expressed deep concerns over the delay of salaries to the KMC staffers.

He regretted that corruption and mismanagement are on the rise in the government institutions and billions of rupees are being spent on VIP protocols and other luxuries but the employees of low grade are deprived of their legal rights in term of salary.

He urged Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to play his due role in order to release the salaries of the employees, working in government and semi-government institutions.
