PESHAWAR - Chief Executive Pesco Tariq Saddozai said that Pesco is making all-out efforts to reduce line losses and increase recovery. He said that very soon the company will pull out of the financial crunch and would make it once again a profitable entity. The Pesco Board of Directors 84th meeting was held in Wapda House Peshawar.

Chairman BoD Pesco Malik Muhammad Asad Khan presided over the meeting. Board members, including Chief Executive Pesco Brig. (Retd) Tariq Saddozai, Suhail Akbar Shah, Dr Amjadullah, Lt.Col(Retd)AlamZeb Khan, Syed MusawarShah, Lt. Col(Retd)Jahanzeb Khan, Qamar Zaman, Nasir Khan Musa Zai, Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, company secretary and  senior management of Pesco attended the meeting. Company Secretary Syab Ahmad presented minutes of 83rd BODs, which were approved after detailed discussion.

Chief Executive Pesco Tariq Saddozai said that redressal of consumers complaints at their doorsteps is our top priority. The CEO Pesco gave a detailed briefing about the current electricity crisis and the procedure to carry out Load Management and its policy and schedule. He said that due to canals’ closure for maintenance the additional loadshedding has been commenced like other parts of the country.

He explained that loadshedding for 4 to 8 hours is carried out in the areas where illegal use of electricity is minimum and distribution system is good and 8 to 16 hours loadshedding is being carried out in the areas where distribution system is old and illegal use of electricity is on higher scale. The chief executive Pesco vowed that every step is being taken to minimize the duration of loadshedding.

He said that public cooperation could play an important role in reduction of loadshedding by avoiding use of extra and illegal use of electricity. On this occasion, he also appealed to consumers to ensure maximum energy conservation and avoid illegal use of Electricity. He said saving of ONE UNIT Electricity is equal to Generation of One Unit of Electricity.
