LAHORE – The Punjab Youth Festival 2013-14 enters Union Council level which will be launched on January 5. All the preparations have been completed and the players from 3,464 union councils of the province are upbeat to show their skills at this stage. The 10-day activity will have 17 disciplines to be contested and this time education sector including elementary and school will also been locking their horns in different events both in sports and general categories. In Lahore alone, 150 union councils will have competitions among 80,000 people aspiring for title and place in the next level of the festival. SBP DG Usman Anwar Friday observed the arrangements for the second level and monitored the dispatch of material to different union councils.–Staff Reporter
