Students out against shifting ZAB Medical College

PESHAWAR - Peoples Students' Federation (PSF) has protested the government proposed plan of shifting Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Shaheed Medical College from Peshawar to district Nowshera and warned to launch a protest campaign against the move.
Speaking at a press conference here at press club on Friday, the PSF Provincial President Malik Amjad said that the former ANP-led provincial government had approved Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical College for Peshawar due to huge population of the district and upon which construction work was also completed.
But, now the incumbent PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has planned to shift the college from Peshawar to Nowshera, the hometown of chief minister, which was totally injustice with the people of Peshawar.
Flanked by PSF Peshawar Division President Arshad Bacha and other students leaders, he said that PTI-led government should approve a separate college for Nowshera instead of shifting the ZAB Medical College to the district. He said that the government should also take proactive steps for implementation of reforms agenda in education, health and other development sectors in the province.
Expressing concern over snail progress on Benazir Shaheed Hospital in Peshawar, the PSF activists demanded the federal and provincial government to expedite the project.
They also warned that if the demands were not fulfilled, then they would start phase-wise protest drive by blocking motorways, G.T road, and besiege the chief minister and governor houses.
