LAHORE : Pakistan People’s Party leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim has said that not only former president Pervez Musharraf but ex-chief justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry should also be tried. Talking to a news channel here Friday, Fahim said that if former rulers and administrators are tried for their misdeeds or wrong decisions, then the ex-CJP should also be questioned about what he did during his tenure as the head of the country’s supreme judicial institution.

It was the judiciary and judges who provided Pervez Musharraf an opportunity for amendment and extending his rule for three years further, he added.

He said that the PPP is not in favour of confrontation between the government and any other national institution. “We wish the sitting government to complete its constitutional term of five years, and would extend all sorts of support in this regard,” he added. He said that PPP chairman Bilawal’s aggressive speech indicated warmth in his blood and commitment to do something for the nation and country.
