The administration, the faculty and the student fraternity of the University of Gujrat (UOG) express deep grief and sorrow over martyrdom of more than 140 lives in Peshawar school carnage. The university protests and strongly condemns the inhumane attack on innocent school students and extends deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the martyrs of this heinous attack. Further, the UOG vehemently denounces the carnage and believes targeting innocent children a coward act which has exposed the real face of terrorism.
The varsity is deeply saddened over this tragic incident, sympathises with the bereaved families and prays to the Almighty to grant courage and fortitude to the members of the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss and rest the departed souls in eternal peace. The nation should stand in solidarity with those who are fighting terrorism and offering sacrifices for eliminating this menace. The state is committed to continue the war against terrorism till the last militant is eliminated and expects that the international community will acknowledge the sacrifices of Pakistan being rendered in the ongoing war against terrorism.
