Islamabad - Member National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Dr Tariq Fazal Choudhry has said that country is facing severe challenge of terrorism and time would be required to take extraordinary steps for crushing it.

Talking to state-run television channel, he said that drastic decisions would be taken in the present circumstances.

He said that terrorism was the major issue, adding that all the stakeholder were united to flush out the terrorists from the country.  

He said that writ of the state must be established at all cost, adding that system of justice should be made transparent for protection of lives and properties of the people. The MNA said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) was in the favor of establishment of special courts to tackle the cases of terrorists.  

Replying to a question, he said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was taking keen interest in rooting out the menace of terrorism.

To another question, Dr Tariq Fazal Choudhry said there was need to bring improvement in the judicial system of the country.

Meanwhile, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi have condoled the death of mother of MNA Shaista Pervez Malik and mother-in-law of MNA Pervez Malik.

In their separate condolence messages to Shaista Pervez Malik and Pervez Malik, the speaker and the deputy speaker expressed their profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise.

They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant strength and courage to members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity.
